Method Man & Redman Announce 4/20 Performance at Cervantes'

It was a match made in Hip-Hop heaven when Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan and Redman of Def Squad decided to collaborate in 1994. It wasn't until 1999 that they debuted their first album 'Blackout!',which topped #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and was regarded as the precursor to the cannabis infused top hit 'How High'. It wasn't until 2009, that they released the predecessor 'Blackout! 2', which also topped hip-hop charts.

Fortunately for Colorado, Meth & Red have found a toasted spot in their heart for our lovely state and have decided to make their 4/20 performance at Cervantes' an annual tradition. And quite honestly, who would complain? With the infamous 4/20 gathering at University of Colorado at Boulder slowly becoming a distant memory due to stringent (unnecessary) campus restrictions, this show is a guaranteed fun opportunity to celebrate the holiday with groovy tuneshigh spirits and, of course, hazy short term memories

For those of you who think the tradition on campus will be reborn, don't get your hopes up. More than likely the field will once again be covered in toxic, fishy smelling fertilizer and your hot-headed protesting and bitching is, once again, going to mean nothing. In light of the festivities, the tickets are going for $42 and are currently on sale. Kind of pricey, but well worth it. Expect this show to be sold out at least 2 weeks in advance so take initiative. More than likely, craigslist ticket will be going for double that.
