Rage Colorado: Rager's Guide to SNOWBALL MUSIC FESTIVAL 2013

As long as you're not living under a rock you're aware that this weekend is the 3rd annual Snowball Music Festival!

We've put together a guide to help those ragers who are going up to Winter Park to enjoy the festivities filled with time slots, bus routes, and after party info. If you are going, be sure to be on the look out for Rage Colorado stickers flying around!

This years fest features some big national acts like STS9, Pretty Lights, and Kendrick Lamar as well as many other artists spread across 3 stages on the festivals new grounds in Winter Park, CO. Though this is a new site, the map looks pretty similar to the past two years. This years fest has a special feature close to the main stage for some extra entertainment, a huge big air installation that's going to run into between set changes on the main stage! It's going to feature both local and professional athletes as well as fire spiners/ dancers. Where else have you seen big air runs during a festival?? You be crazy not to check that out atleast once. Thankfully, after a lot of response from the fans, you'll be able to go in and out of the festival. This year you can go in and out until 7pm (an hour later than the past two years). Security may be a little more strict because of this but this is a HUGE plus at an outdoor festival in the mountains. There's going to be heater tents and places to get warm inside too so don't think you won't be able to stay warm and jam!

There's a lot of amazing artists this year and to help you keep on schedule with the line up this weekend here's the festival set times (click to make the picture larger):

On Friday the gates are open from 2:30pm to 11:00pm , Saturday it's 2:00pm to 11pm, and Sunday is 1:00pm to 10pm. This year there will be shuttles running from around Fraser and Winter Park to get you to and from the venue. These shuttles stop at different times so if you're wanting to his the after parties be sure to keep the time in mind. There are multiple different shuttles so take a look at the map below to scope out your route (click to make the picture larger):

There is also another shuttle running around Fraser and Granby during the festival. The route starts at 1:30 and ends at 12:30 the whole weekend.

FRASER STOP: Colorado Adventure Park City RD 72, turn right on City RD 721/ Fraser Pkwy (Orange P7R)

Last, but certainly not least, are the after parties. When you're just not tired enough to shut the night down (and you're over 21) Snowball has some awesome line ups set up for the late night ragers. Tickets are limited and going quick but start out pretty cheap. Of course they're more the day of the show so get them early! There are six venues with shows each night of the weekend. Unfortunately every show at the Winter Park Mountain Lounge in the Shadow Ballroom are sold out, but there are plenty of option still available to choose from. Check out the line ups below:
