Just coming off a huge Red Rocks performance, Emancipator announces his Colorado Tour 2012! Known for his downtempo/ trip-hop beats and the use of his violin, Emancipator has really blown up in the past few years. With only releasing his first of 2 albums in 2006, you could say he's a relatively young producer but this young producer has gotten a lot done in 6 years. Like I said, he's released 2 albums so far both having 14 songs on them as well as a remix album featuring some big names like Big Gigantic, Michal Menert, and Ooah from the Glitch Mob. His first album, 'Soon It Will Be Cold Enough', was picked up by a Japanese producer and re-pressed and released in Japan to sell 5,000 copies in the first 6 months, which is a pretty big feat for making that album when he was 19. He also managed to score a sponsorship with Puma and even had his song 'Maps' played at the Beijing Olympics. Although he may seem pretty new to most people, he's been through a lot in his career with no sign of slowing down (thank God!). Featuring 4 stops across the state, the tour starts in November and hits Breckenridge, Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins. Featuring a rotating cast of Blockhead, Natsha Kmeto, Inspired Flight and more TBA, this show is going to be a great break in the bass heavy shows from this summer. Tickets just when on sale yesterday and though they're probably not going to sell out right away definitely look into this show soon!
