Of Monsters and Men
Churchill
Last time fun. was in town they sold out both the Ogden Theatre and the Fox Theatre. They formed back in 2008 when The Format broke up and front man Nate Ruess found some friends to start a new band with. They've had huge success thanks to the songs "We Are Young" and "Some Nights". "We Are Young" reached #1 on the U.S. Billboards Top 100 and was the first one since Coldplay's "Vida la Vida" in 2008. If you listen to 93.3 you've probably heard both of these songs, a lot, but these songs somehow don't get old. Of Monsters and Men have also been a band to really explode in the scene. "Little Talks" is one of those other songs played a lot on 93.3. If you listen to more of their music, they're really similar to Mumford & Sons. They've played some big festivals and have traveled the world, all with one album under their belts. The last band is Denver's own, Churchill. They've only been around a few years but have turned heads. Selling out two nights in Denver coming up, this is a highly anticipated band.
The lineup is spectacular, however, it's sold out. Tickets go on sale this Saturday but if this is not early enough for you, 93.3 is giving away tickets every day this week for their 'Text @ 2' with Nick Cage and again with Nerf at 4 for 'Make it Stop'.
