The Boulder Theater just announced today that The Motet is going to be bringing the funk this Halloween by performing songs by Parliament-Funkadelic! Based out of Boulder, The Motet has been around for more than 10 years now and still sell shows out all over. Playing their own blend of afro-beat, jazz, and electronic music the band brings a very unique sound that's somehow steered away from being labeled under a single genre. Along with the Motet, this show has Nigel Hall from Soulive/ Lettuce joining in on vocals and keyboard as well as an added 4 piece horn section featuring Gabe Mervine, Matt Pitts, Serafin Sanchez, and Tom Ball. All together that's 14 people, jaming out to one of the greatest funk bands of all time! The sale starts on the 22nd with a limited amount of $15 early-bird tickets (first come, first serve) and then it's only $25 until the night of the show. Don't sleep on this one, these shows always sell out!
