Vampire Weekend 2013 Spring Tour Hits Red Rocks With Of Monsters And Men Co-Headlining

Vampire Weekend announced this morning that they're heading to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on  May 20th as part of their 2013 Spring Tour! This tour is in support of their latest album "Modern Vampires of the City" set to be released just after the tour starts on May 7th in the US. The band formed not too long ago in 2006 while at Columbia University. They began their career experimenting with rap, punk, and African music. This helped them bring a unique sound to their music and shine in the midst of thousands of other bands. In a short bit of time they've already released 2 studio albums and toured the world with bands such as the Dirty Projectors and The Shins. They also were listed on Rolling Stone's '100 Best Songs of the Year' in 2007, a year after forming.

Of Monsters and Men have also been announced to co-headline the stage with Vampire Weekend! Last time they were in town they sold out both the Boulder Theater and 93.3's 'Not So Silent Night' at the 1STBank Center. The Icelandic folk rock band has been busy touring the world and it doesn't seem like they'll slow down any time soon. Both bands prove to make this an amazing Red Rocks concert! Tickets go on sale tomorrow, February 5th, so be sure to keep up on our 'Red Rocks Amphitheatre' section (above) for those. They will probably sell out quick!
