Dave Matthews Band is known for their huge summer tours all across the world every year. They've had the honors of winning a Grammy Award and have put out 8 studio albums, multiples of which have been featured on Billboards Top Charts. They're no stranger to Colorado, playing everywhere from Red Rocks to Mile High Music Festival (twice) to the little Fox Theatre in Boulder. These guys are known far an wide for their talent, philanthropic efforts, and big concerts.
After releasing three dates for the spring back in January, the web has been patiently waiting for their 2013 summer dates. On Friday DMB's website released this image shown above, but quickly took it down. Luckily the guys at dmbnews.net got a screenshot before this was taken down and look who's made the list, good ol' Colorado for two nights! Of course, this could change since they took it down, or it could've been a premature slip on their part, we're hoping for the latter of the two!
Without anymore information on the shows, we can only guess at what's going on. Commerce City is where the giant Mile High Music Festival was held at Dick Sporting Goods Park. The festival hasn't been around since 2010 when it featured DMB along with Pheonix, My Morning Jacket, and Jack Johnson, to name a few. There has been talks of its return but just like the Daft Punk rumors every year this still hasn't happened. Maybe this is the year?? They could also just be following Phish who nearly sold out the giant venue during their stop there last year.
Until they release the dates for sure, we'll have no way to know. Let the long internet searches begin!
