And the bass gods deliver! After Bassnectar announced his quick 3 week spring tour we were sitting and waiting for information on his special Colorado shows listed. When everything else went on sale we were still waiting with rumors and anticipation growing. Today the king of bass announced his 2 night return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre this year with some huge special guests! Bassnectar is always a crowd pleaser and because of that has sold out every Red Rocks show he's played in our great state. This year won't be any different!
He'll be hitting the rocks on May 31st and June 1st. Along with him on the 31st is Fool's Gold Records DJ A-Trak, who has a huge resume under his belt. He was the first DJ to win all three major DJ competitions (DMC, ITF, Vestax) as well as the first DJ to win 5 World Championship. Oh ya and he pumps out some amazing tracks and remixes! Fellow Fool's Gold Records DJ, Treasure Fingers will also be along for the May date show with Tokimonsta rounding out those supporting acts.
On June 1st he's bringing along hip-hop turntablist DJ Shadow. This guy played a huge role in the development of instrumental hip-hop and has been doing it since the late 80's. Last year DJ Shadow made music headlines when the Miami Club Mansion kicked him off the decks for his set being "too future". I know Colorado likes that future sh*t so he'll fit right in here. Along with him is Two Fresh and Thriftworks.
Pre-sale and 2-day tickets go on sale this Wednesday Feb. 27th at 10am MST. Unlike the spring tour dates, these tickets are going to be physical copies mailed to you before the shows.
